I have had the honor of serving our community as Principal of Columbus High School since 2015. Prior to taking on this administrative position, I worked hand in hand with students, teachers, and parents as a teacher/coach and as assistant principal.
Working with the students at Columbus High School is an exceptionally rewarding experience. These young people inspire me with their ambition and their intelligence. No two days are the same at CHS, and that is due in large part to the dynamic energy and enthusiasm for learning that our students bring to our campus. Similarly, I enjoy working with our parents and members of our community. The support they provide in so many ways for Columbus High School is the backbone of why we are successful in our academic and extracurricular endeavors. Throughout my experience, I have never been associated with a greater, more caring faculty and staff than we are privileged to have here at Columbus. Working side-by-side with these professionals is a genuine highlight of my career.
I hold a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas State in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Special Education.
My wife, Amy, is an English teacher here at Columbus High School. We are both alumni of Columbus High School. We have two boys, Luke and Cullen.
