Hello!
I'm Ms. Barajas and I'm teaching English I this year.

About me:
This year will be my third year at Columbus High School.  I grew up in Sealy, TX and graduated from Sealy High School.  I then attended the University of Houston-Victoria and graduated from there with my B.A. in English Literature and my Master's Degree as well. I still live in Sealy, but the commute to Columbus is well worth it because I get to be a part of the Cardinal family!

Classroom Goals:
My goal this year is to build grit in my students. Grit is all about never giving up, learning from mistakes, and always striving for excellence.  My students will be challenged, but it is my mission to make sure that they walk away with the knowledge that they are capable of achieving anything they work hard for. With that in mind, let's all work together to make this a great year!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions throughout the year.

Some words for inspiration...

"No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress,
you are still way ahead of everyone who isn't trying."
