AP Literature and Composition (Period 7)

 This course is designed for university bound students who demonstrate an advanced aptitude for English.  This course emphasizes an intensive study of representative works of literature found on the suggested reading list for the AP English Literature and Composition Exam.  Students will continue to expand their personal writing styles (advanced vocabulary, personal voice, and sentence structure) through various expository and analytical essays based on the literature.  Course requirements include research and outside reading.  The optional Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition Exam for college credit is given in may for a nominal fee.
