About Me
Saturdays of my childhood were spent visiting the prairie dogs and bison of the Fort Worth Nature Center or the koi at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. So, it was no surprise when I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Austin College, in Sherman Texas (Go Roos!) and a Master of Environmental Management degree from Yale University's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (Boola Boola!) in New Haven, Connecticut. Originally, I worked on saving the world from the environmental departments of large companies and as an environmental consultant. When my husband's job took us overseas I started teaching science, which I loved because it more directly combined two of my favorite things--the natural world and helping others. Since my start in Azerbaijan, I've also taught in Katy, Texas and Singapore. This is my fourth wonderful year teaching biology and anatomy at CHS and I'm proud to call Columbus home with my family, three dogs, two cats, 14 chickens and garden!
