It's Shakespeare birthday week! Let's "insult" each other like real Shakespeareans! This is always a favorite lesson with my students. Of course this is supposed to be a fun exploration of Shakespeare's genius in creating words - don't actually get insulted.

Attached is a 2-person example script you can act out with a family member or there is lists of words Shakespeare used that you can pick from the 3 columns and create your own insults.

Send me the best insult video you can either having fun "insulting" a family member or me!

Video Lip Sync Pre Production in Google Classroom

Video Lip Sync Pre Production

Create an edited music video using a free app on your phone if you do not have editing software on a desktop computer. There are plenty of free apps to choose from...

You DO NOT have to be the star of the video and can play the roll of director if necessary. Have fun with your family!

PreProduction includes the choosing of a school appropriate song and downloading it, location scouting around your home, casting actors (family members), gathering props/costumes, choosing light colors or time of day to record AND STORYBOARDING! Attached is a storyboard example that can be simply drawn on a piece of paper to organize your thoughts, share your vision with your actors and help make the whole process less scattered.

Attach proof to this assignment that you have done your preproduction and are ready to produce next week (photo of storyboard, document of song with plans of what I listed above, etc.)

Attached are some CLASSIC examples of Jr. High creations:

Due:

Create a Prop Due Friday 4/9 in Google Classroom

Create a Prop Due Friday 4/9

Not only are actors on stage making a scene believable through dialogue, but props play a big role in that illusion as well! It is not always cost effective or feasible to purchase or even find a prop for your play so that’s why we create them. Creating them can be a fun adventure and often your best supplies are coat hangers, foil, cardboard and styrofoam with a little duct tape.

Your assignment is to create a prop either from the links below or one of your choosing (if you run it by me for approval).

You must take photos to document your creation and a final photo to show us your finished product.

Have fun!
