Howdy! I am the CTE/Education Pathway/AVID 2Yearbook teacher at CHS this year. This is my 15th year working at Columbus High School - and each year just keeps getting better! In addition, I am also the scholarship coordinator for CHS, the NHS adviser, the Instructional Technologist for CHS, and the UIL Journalism coach.
I am a graduate of Columbus High School (Go Cards!), a graduate of Blinn College, and a graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a bachelor's degree in Business.
I am married to my high school sweetheart Zachary (who is also the Director of Technology at CISD), and we have two sons. We love the history and small-town feel of Columbus, and are so happy to continue to call Columbus our hometown. I am very interested in genealogy and discovering the hidden gems of Columbus.
I am looking forward to teaching your son or daughter this year about the wonderful world of business, education, communication and technology and journalism. My goal this year to give your student the skills they need to be successful in their post-secondary endeavors.
For all of my courses I utilize Google Classroom for many assignments. If a student ever misses class, Google Classroom is a great resource to have your student to go so they can stay on top of any missed work.
