Columbus High School has started school for the 2020-2021 academic year, and it is an exciting time for staff and students. It is my expectation for students to be actively engaged in their academic progress. To be engaged in their education students should be responsible and get into a routine of attending class according to the bell schedule. Developing a routine takes getting out of bed, getting dressed, and being involved in the classroom through Canvas. Our Columbus High School teachers have worked hard to develop rigorous and relevant classes for this academic year and will provide instruction enriched with information that will prepare you to be College, Career, or Military ready. Students, I challenge you to expand your mind by being actively involved in the classroom and completing your assignments with fidelity. I want you to choose something to be involved in like Athletics, Band, Cardinal Belles, Cheer, FFA, Skills USA, and/or UIL. With everyone working together, being flexible, having patience, and being understanding we will all get through this together and make 2020-2021 a year to remember where we continue to be Soaring in Success!
In partnership with parents and community, Columbus High School is committed to providing a balanced program of academic study and extra/co-curricular programs in a safe and caring environment. Our goals are to prepare all students to excel in the areas of lifelong learning and citizenship, and to achieve both personal and professional success.
