Welcome to Theatre!

This is a full-year acting course designed to increase student understanding and appreciation of the art of acting.  Students will be introduced to the principles and techniques of creating believable characters through the use of games, imagination, concentration, improvisation, analysis, movement, vocal control, makeup and costumes.  Other areas of study include basic lighting and stage design, prop and costume creation, and theatre history.  Possible topics to also include are video production, Stop motion animation, puppet and mask making for performance and vocal recording for radio. 

*Participation in class activities and play attendance required
